Child Safety Standards
How Talkr prevents, detects and acts on child sexual abuse and exploitation.
Last updated 16 September 2026Our position
Talkr is an adults-only calling app operated by Krapton. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation ("CSAE"), including child sexual abuse material ("CSAM").
This is not a matter of degree or context. There is no warning, no strike system and no appeal to intent. An account used for any of the conduct below is removed, and where the law requires it, referred to the authorities.
These standards apply to everyone on the service — people who call, creators who are paid to take calls, and anyone in a room, chat or game.
What is prohibited
All of the following are banned outright, in calls, video, rooms, chats, profiles, photos, usernames and gifts:
- Child sexual abuse material — any depiction of a minor in a sexual context, real, drawn, edited or generated.
- Sexualising a minor in any way, including comments, roleplay or requests directed at or about someone under 18.
- Grooming — building a relationship with a minor for sexual purposes, or attempting to move such a conversation to another platform.
- Sextortion — threatening to share intimate images to obtain more material, money or compliance.
- Trafficking, or advertising, soliciting or arranging the sexual exploitation of a minor.
- Continuing a sexual conversation with someone after they indicate they are under 18, or asking someone to lie about their age.
- Impersonating a minor, or presenting yourself as one to attract this kind of contact.
Who is allowed to use Talkr
Talkr is strictly 18+. There is no younger tier, no parental-consent route and no regional exception.
Every account gives a date of birth during sign-up, and the age requirement is enforced on our servers rather than only in the app, so it cannot be bypassed by a modified client.
Creators are additionally reviewed by a person before they can receive calls at all.
If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18 we close it and delete its data, whether or not anything else has happened.
How we reduce the risk
Prevention is mostly about limiting what a bad actor can do before anyone notices:
- Sign-up requires a verified phone number, so an account has a cost and a removed one cannot be trivially remade.
- Every creator profile is reviewed by a person before it becomes callable.
- Nudity and sexual content are prohibited for all users at all times, which removes the context this conduct hides in.
- Blocking is immediate and total — a blocked account cannot call, message or see you anywhere in the service.
- Reporting is available at the moment it matters, including during a live call.
- Accounts we remove for these reasons are banned rather than deleted, so the same person cannot simply sign up again.
How to report it
Inside the app: every profile, chat, room and live call has a report control, and "Report and block" does both at once. Reports go to a person, not an automated filter. You do not need to leave Talkr to make one.
By email: write to hello@krapton.com at any time, including if you do not have an account. Tell us the username or phone number if you have it, and what you saw.
You do not need to be certain. A report that turns out to be nothing costs us very little; one that is never made costs a great deal.
If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. Reporting to us is not a substitute for that.
What happens after a report
Reports naming a child-safety concern are prioritised above every other queue and reviewed by a person.
On confirming CSAE, we remove the content, terminate the account permanently and preserve the associated records for law enforcement rather than deleting them.
We report confirmed CSAM to the competent authorities and to the relevant national reporting body, and we cooperate with valid legal requests from law enforcement investigating these cases.
Accounts terminated on these grounds are not reinstated, and the termination is not subject to the ordinary appeal route described in our Community Guidelines.
Child safety point of contact
Krapton maintains a designated point of contact for child-safety matters, reachable at hello@krapton.com. This contact can speak to our CSAE prevention practices and enforcement procedures and can act on what is reported.
Google Play, other platforms, law enforcement, regulators and child-protection organisations may all use this address to reach us. We aim to acknowledge within one business day.
Keeping this current
These standards are reviewed at least once a year, and whenever the product changes in a way that affects them. The date at the top of this page is when it was last updated.
They sit alongside our Community Guidelines and Privacy Policy, and apply in addition to the law wherever Talkr is available.
